» Emeco wins the first place in the best inbound incentive program in the middle east
In a recent gala ceremony that included travel experts, travel agencies, DMC’s and event organizers, Emeco Travel was awarded the Best Inbound Incentive Program Award in the MENA region by Meet Middle East. The Emeco incentive program that won the company the prize was considered one of the richest and rigorous programs held in Egypt in the recent years. The award is another breakthrough for Emeco Travel proving its leading position in the MICE industry not only in Egypt but throughout the entire region.
The Emeco incentive program crisscrossed the whole country organizing more than 17 events in 9 days ranging from simple welcome dinners to the most sophisticated and exclusive events. The program involved different approaches in various cultural and historical sites.
The award was received by Elhamy Elzayat, the Chairman and CEO of Emeco Travel in El Multaqa Ballroom, Dubai and Presented by meeting and events industry publication MeetME (Meet Middle East) magazine and hosted by Event 360. The Middle East Event Awards program was open to companies who plan, manage, supply or service exhibitions; consumer, corporate and public events; parties, concerts, venues and theatres. Its aim was to honor, reward and recognize the region's leading events, suppliers and personnel.
The awards were judged by an independent board made-up of internationally recognized and respected judges from diverse industry sectors and disciplines. » NZ Honours Mr Elhamy El Zayat
In celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's birthday, Mr Elhamy El Zayat, Chairman & CEO of Emeco Group, has been appointed an Honorary Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit by the government of New Zealand. This is in recognition of Mr El Zayat's contributions to strengthening relations between New Zealand and Egypt. Mr. El Zayat was New Zealand's Honorary Consul General in Cairo from 1999 until 2006 when New Zealand opened an Embassy in Egypt.

Mr. Elhamy El Zayat, CEO of Emeco Travel and Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Federation was awarded the IMEX 2005 Academy Award. The Award was presented to Mr. Elhamy by Mr. Ray Bloom, IMEX Chairman during the show’s glittering gala dinner at the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel and Towers.

» Eclipse Safari
Emeco organized a safari to the Total Solar Eclipse Operation on the day of the recent solar eclipse occurrence, March 29, 2006.
The event was held in the town of Salom, about 270 km from Alexandria. Spectators experienced almost four minutes of the full eclipse, starting at 12:38 pm. Emeco was proud to be one of the main organizers of events related to the eclipse.
This was the first complete solar eclipse since November 2003. It drew large, excited crowds not only in Egypt but in many other parts of the world.
